This collection contains statistics on minority faculty, staff, and students, plans for desegregation, records of the statewide Desegregation Monitoring Committee, and information relating to the stipulations of Geier fulfillment documenting the enhancement of diversity at the University of Tennessee.

Series I contains affirmative action plans for the UT system and its various campuses. These plans include detailed statistics showing minority participation on campus and strategies for enhancing diversity.

Series II contains the annual reports of the Desegregation Monitoring Committee, including meeting agendas and minutes and Geier information.
