This collection consists of one appointment letter signed by the Governor of Tennessee, Andrew Johnson to Andrew B. McTeer on November 17, 1863. The certificate was to inform Andrew McTeer that he had been promoted to 1st Lieutenant and Quartermaster in the Tennessee Volunteers Calvary.
