The letter was written to Nancy Rowland with the hopes of expressing his respect for Nancy Rowland and wished to visit her so he can show her to his daughters. This letter was written on March 16, 1834.

The personal letter concerning the Parker family is written by Jonathan Parker to his sister Nancy Rowland who is receiving the news of Parker’s recently deceased wife who had died of liver problems. Mrs. Parker’s strength had weakened her so severely, she had trouble eating. Mr. Parker also wishes to inform that he would like to visit his sister very soon. The letter was written on July 17, 1833.

Another letter from Mrs. Joseph Parker details a land acquisition which is sold for one hundred dollars. This note was written on May 28, 1830.

Two letters were from James Gray to Robert and Nancy Rowland of Smith County, TN. Gray wrote of his settlement in the Missouri territory, specifically in Genevieve County. Gray worked at a whiskey stiller while in the Missouri Territory. His second letter to Robert and Nancy, Gray wrote delightedly that he was recently married and had started a family. The letters were written in 1818 on November 9th and 1819 on May 23rd.

The last document intended to release a tract of land in Knoxville owned by M. Miller to his heir John Anthony. The heirs of Miller would also receive one hundred dollars. The document was written on February 9, 1819.
