This collection consists of one document, a typed copy of Michael Woods Trimble's account of his ancestry, and particularly his father's actions. Trimble wrote the account in 1860. This copy was made by Mrs. E.O. Wells who received it after the account was passed on through several sources. The account discusses Trimble's paternal ancestors and their journey to America from Ireland. Trimble also discusses his father, John Trimble, including details of his service under John Sevier in the Revolutionary War, several battles fought against Iocal Native Americans, and his relocations to several cities.
