Personal collection of published scores and manuscripts by other composers, books, magazines, 1890-1993
Includes Van Vactor’s copies of other composers' works, books, magazines, and catalogs from 1890 to 1993. The first subseries contains unpublished ink scores or copies of other composer’s works. Subseries B includes published music and education magazine subscriptions, which contain works of various composers. Subseries C includes collections of multiple pieces and also etudes, mostly for flute. In Subseries D, Van Vactor’s personal collection of published scores often contain the composer’s markings for performance or conducting. The final subseries contains published books by various authors and repertoire catalogs, including David Van Vactor's own repertoire catalog from 1993.
