James Wilkinson Letter, 1799 April 16
This collection consists of a single letter written by James Wilkinson, from Loftus Heights, to Winthrop Sargent on April 16, 1799. In the letter, Wilkinson discusses a number of subjects including the news of his properties and the health of his neighbors, one of which has been struck with a fever. He also laments the loss of letters by "McCrea" who was "captured and plundered" by a party of Native Americans.
