Papers Regarding the 116th Mobile Ordnance Repair Shop, 1917 November 14-1919 February 26, undated

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 4
From the Collection:

This collection houses a variety of papers documenting 1st Lieutenant Francis T. Boyd's service with the 116th Mobile Ordnance Repair Shop (41st Division) during World War I. This unit was stationed in Illinois, New York, and several locations in France. While the majority of the material is addressed to or written by Boyd, a few special orders were sent to his commanding officer, Captain George D. Sturtevant, or to Privates serving in the unit. Of particular interest is a handwritten note that Boyd wrote on November 11, 1918 (Armistice Day).
