This collection houses scripts of programs that were delivered over WSM (Nashville) under the University of Tennessee Division of Extension between 1937 and 1941. Many programs included were targeted at a general audience, but some programs were targeted at homemakers or youths. Broadcasts were written by University of Tennessee faculty, students, and administrators.

Series I includes the UT Programs broadcasted on WSM, Nashville from December 27, 1937 to November 14, 1939. Broadcasts are on varying topics, although they focus on agricultural and domestic education.

Series II includes general audience broadcasts from October 3, 1938 to December 19, 1938 and a series of broadcasts targeted for homemakers broadcast from December 12, 1938 to May 31, 1939.

Series III, broadcasts for the general public, aired from October 16, 1939 to April 27, 1940. In this series there are broadcasts for youth, covering the dates of November 15, 1939 to April 9, 1940.

Series IV includes broadcasts for youth from October 7, 1940 to May 1, 1941.
