This collection consists of items concerning the University of Tennessee's participation in the General Electric College Quiz Bowl in 1962 that took place in New York City. The papers pertain to the selection of the four team members, practice questions, quiz rules, correspondence, photographs, and newspaper clippings about the team. The bulk of the papers are dated in 1962, although some date from 1959 to 1961 and from 1965. The collection also consists of six audio recordings of the game from 1962 and two cartoons drawn by Knoxville News Sentinel cartoonist Bill Dyer. The cartoons are undated though presumably drawn in 1962.
