This folder includes a catalog of J.G.M. Ramsey's writings as of March 25, 1879. This is followed by a history of Tennessee written on June 16, 1874. Undated materials from J.G.M. Ramsey include a note accusing W. Jefferson or Dr. Brevard of plagiarism, because their two declarations are so similar, and and excerpt from an essay about these men and their record keeping. There are also an essay about removing obstructions in the Tennessee River at ?? Shoals, a circular about Governor Cannon and General Armstrong, the introduction to the Biography of the Dunlap Family of Tennessee, a resolution to honor Colonel Williams after his death, a rough draft of Tennessee in the Revolution, and a journal of the weather.

In addition to the papers of J.G.M. Ramsey, there is a will from Elizabeth A.R. Breck and a pamphlet about the principal church denominations written by James Ramsey in 1894.
