Boarding Bill for Eight Creek Indians, 1799 May 27
This bill documents the stay of eight Creek Indians in Nashville, TN on May 24, 1799. They were charged 33 1/2 cents each, which included the price of one gallon of whiskey during their boarding by William Maclin. The bill was addressed to the United States government by the Secretary of State for Tennessee (1796-1807) William Maclin, Sr. The document was signed by John B. Cross, J.C. Macline, Maclin T. Cross, Andrew Henry, and William Carvin.
