This collection includes eight subscription lists ca. 1834 – 1869 January 27, for the Congressional Globe concerning the 23rd and 39th Congresses. Each subscription document lists the subscriber’s signature and adjacent to each signature is the request for a specific number of copies ordered per subscriber, ranging from 1,000 to a minimum of 100 copies, to be printed by the Globe Office, Washington. The subscription list delivered January 5, 1867, was signed by well-known national figures such as William E. Niblack of Indiana and Edmund Cooper and William B. Campbell, both of Tennessee.
