Correspondence, 1945 August 14-November 1
This collection contains the personal correspondence, memorabilia, and newspaper clippings of William F. Baggerman during his career in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Most of the collection is correspondence between Baggerman and his family which is largely comprised of concerns for family business and the situation at home; Baggerman’s discussion of military matters is limited. The collection spans from early in Baggerman's basic training until the end of the war.
Memorabilia includes a patch and pin from the 20th Air Force and leaflets describing the coming of the atomic bomb in Japanese. Military documents include two tests taken by Baggerman in Technical School. Press Clippings display financial and social atmospheres back in the United States, as well as a clipping from a base magazine. A later clipping describes the desire of Guam to demand reparations for damages. Other papers include a church pamphlet listing the names of those serving, correspondence about a local incident and a newsletter from the 1990s for the veterans that served with Baggerman.
