Interviews with Lee Bryson, 1982 July
This collection consists of audio tapes used for background information when writing Davis' novel, “Okeeheedee Country.” Also included are photographs of Jeanette in her cap and gown, a copy of her short work, “Wild Flowers in Hog Branch,” a summary of her life, a copy of a photo of Alcoa High School Central Office (1983-1984) that she appears in, and a copy of a letter she wrote to Random House Publishing Group requesting they publish a book of her poetry.

Note from Jeanettee Lanning Payne Davis Collection "History Lesson then, Uncle Lee and Sid comes in hard to understand. Lots of static. Side II, I'm Lecturing after a few sentences, it goes back to Uncle Lee. We're walking in the mts at first; Sid and I are looking at flowers." "Traveling up not river- explaining railroading and loging [sic] in the area. Uncle Lee worked for Babcock Lumber Company in the early 1900's."
