Dannie Arthur Carr Correspondence, 1969 May 1
This collection contains correspondence between Dannie Arthur Carr and his high school girlfriend, Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Fox Smith, during his time deployed in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. Included are ninety-four letters written over the course of nine months from November 1968 to July 1969 by Carr to Libby about his daily life and activities while serving in the Vietnam War. He includes information about the weather, patrols, his platoon, and the hardship of being away from loved ones.
