This collection contains various correspondence, permits, and newspaper clippings documenting Clifford Davis' service during and after World War II. Most documents correlate to his service during the 1940s. Items are organized by format and then chronologically.

Series I: Letters contains letters from Clifford to his sister and his wife Mildred. Also included is a Christmas card to his entire infantry and a telegram to his wife.

Series II: Postcards features various postcards from Clifford to his wife and a few postcards addressed to Clifford.

Series III: Permits and Registrations include permits that Clifford obtained during his service and documents of his registration in the 1940s.

Series IV: Newspaper Clippings contains various articles featuring either Davis or his division as well as an article featuring maps of the war fronts. Most are undated. Also included are two copies of The Army Weekly, dated June 18 and December 22, 1944.
