New York Committee of Arrangements wishing to honor David Farragut to David Farragut, dated New York, 1865 January 26
Announces results of subscriptions collected in honor of David Farragut and the transmittal of 50 one thousand dollar bonds and a check for the balance of $130. Signed by Moses Taylor, chairman, Sam Sloan, secretary, John J. Cisco, treasurer. Also enclosed are transcriptions of three letters between the committee and David Farragut and a printed resolution to collect said money, dated Collector's Office, New York, December 10, 1864. ALS.
