This collection houses an array of materials documenting East Tennessee history, particularly that of Washington County. Of particular interest are the personal papers of such prominent people as A. A. Taylor and records of business conducted in British pounds instead of American dollars. Other items include advertisements, broadsides, and circulars printed in Jonesborough; church documents; land deeds; ledgers; school reports and catalogs; and much more.
