A scrapbook compiled by Hugh H. Dossett of newspaper clippings throughout World War II. Many clippings document the military and personal activities of service members, including inductions, marriages, homecomings, and deaths, and many of these individuals are from east Tennessee or southeast Kentucky. Other clippings document national news of the war. Also included are three full issues of the following newspapers: The Advance-Sentinel (Jellico, Tenn.), June 15, 1945; The Blue and Gray (Harrogate, Tenn.), June 22, 1945; and Daily News (Middlesboro, Kentucky), July 2, 1945.
