Cherokee Language Projects, 2005, 2011-2015
This is a collection of 47 prints and works by artist Frank Brannon. The collection includes pieces in both English and Cherokee. Most of the materials are letterpress printings. The material is arranged into five series based on topic and/or size.
Series I: Cherokee Language Projects contains 11 prints pertaining to Cherokee writings. Brannon has either printed or collaborated on each project.
Series II: Publications and Pressings has 12 pressings from Brannon's own SpeakEasy Press and its predecessor, Morgan Hill Press.
Series III: MLK Day Series includes five pressings relating to Martin Luther King or other Civil Rights activists.
Series IV: Keepsakes contains three prints from conferences and events in which Brannon participated.
Series V: Oversized Materials houses 18 prints in larger formats. Inlcuded are keepsakes, event signs, and letterpress prints.
