The “Robert Plate Correspondence” subseries includes letters dated from 1941 to 1983, as well as undated, and contains personal and business letters to and from Plate. Most of the earlier letters are addressed to his partner Marion Greenwood, but also included are letters to family, friends, and business associates from his own career as well as Greenwood’s. Correspondents of note include Sylvan Cole, Adolf and Virginia Dehn, and Burr Miller. Many later items are condolence letters sent after Greenwood's death.
