Photographs of Marion Greenwood, undated
This collection consists of a diverse range of personal and professional papers from the lives of American artist Marion Greenwood and her partner Robert Plate. Included are correspondence of Greenwood and Plate dating from the early 1930s to the 1970s; looseleaf journal entries, short stories, and other writings by Plate; a small selection of Greenwood’s artwork; sketchbooks, journals, and address books; photographs of people, places, and artwork; and a large assortment of ephemera spanning Greenwood’s long career as a muralist and painter.
Also included is a small diary of Greenwood’s former husband Charles Fenn; a scale cartoon from one of Greenwood’s 1930s Mexican murals; a small drawing done by Julio de Diego; two art prints by Plate’s sister-in-law, artist Gladys Brodsky; and two small art books.
