Intellectual Golden Age in the Colonial Chesapeake Bay Country
This collection documents the work of Dr. Richard Beale Davis. This papers consist of correspondence between Davis and international colleagues, family, etc.; papers relating to the publication of Davis' books and articles; reprints and reviews of his works and the works of other writers; and personal notebooks and journals, some describing his experiences in Norway and India. The papers date as early as 1906, a year before Davis's birth (with his parents' correspondence), and end in late 1980, a few months before his death.
