Margaret C. McClung Scrapbook and Photograph, 1841-1896
The photocopied scrapbook in this collection consists primarily of newspaper clippings that Margaret C. McClung accumulated during the 1860s and 1870s. Among the subjects documented are Knoxville society, the Civil War, moral issues, etiquette, fashion, religion, women's roles in the home and society, local attractions, and trivia. It also houses wedding invitations, correspondence, and event programs. In addition to the scrapbook, the collection includes a copy of a portrait of Margaret C. McClung.
