Davidson County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Writ, 1793 July 8
This writ commands the Sheriff of Davidson County to apprehend Barkley William Pollock (apparently an executor for Evan Shelby's estate) and hold him in custody until he or someone acting on his behalf produces the one cent and six pounds, two shillings, and six pence that he owes to Abraham Riston as a result of a recent court case. The Sheriff is to appear in the court's next session to tell the justices how the writ was executed and, should Pollock pay his debt, to transfer the money to the court.
