Tenn. Speaking Engagements (misc.), 1972
This collection contains papers of Dr. Andrew David Holt, President of the University of Tennessee from June 1, 1959 to September 1, 1970. This material relates to speaking engagements made by Holt from the 1950s-1980s and illustrates his contributions to the development of education and leadership of students.
Included are letters from students, citizens, members of Congress (including Howard Baker), and Presidents Richard Nixon and Lyndon B. Johnson expressing their thanks and appreciation for Holt's work. There is also scrapbook material which contain photographs, news clippings, letters and speeches.
