F. H. Knapp Letter to D. G. Broom, 1842 July 15
F. H. Knapp wrote this letter to his friend D. G. Broom in Natchez, Mississippi from Nashville, Tennessee on July 15, 1842. Although he finds that the hard times are felt [here] even more than in Mississippi, he has enjoyed his time in Tennessee. Knapp does not believe that he will have enough work to keep him busy for more than another month, after which he will go either to Baltimore or to North Carolina. Knapp goes on to describe some of the people he has met and things he has seen. He closes with a request that Broom remember him to his friends and write soon.
