ALS. Resignation letter as Commissioner of Registration for Marshall County. Leaving state. I am in danger hear (sic). The Ku Klux are all through our county and will carry the March election if something is not done to stop there (sic) Hellish design.
Suggest H. B. Erwin to replace him. Discusses lawsuit filed against him as Commissioner by rebels.
Contains clerk's notations, action note, and a note from A. F. Lillard.
