The W. Stuart Evans Collection spans from 1972 through 1986 and consists of Correspondence, Proposals, and Publications. The bulk of the material involves design and administration of the Knoxville International Energy Exposition (KIEE), also called the 1982 World's Fair. Much of the correspondence involves Bo Roberts, Richard Evans, DKA, KIEE, and John Ulmer. Of special interest, there is a letter addressed to Ronald Reagan from Evans concerning solar power, and some correspondence with Bob Hope. Also, there are various memoranda from the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce. The collection contains many proposals and designs for the World's Fair, as well as publications about the event and Knoxville.
