Letter from W. M. Creamer, 1863 February 24

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1
From the Collection:

W. M. Creamer writes to his cousin, M. C. Creamer concerning his religious beliefs and bears testimony of his strong faith in Christ. He refers to his twenty years on this earth and hopes to live that he may become a better, nobler and more useful man. With reluctance, he speaks of the treatment of Captain Robert O. Caddy while in Nashville toward many sick young boys who needed to return home but died under Caddy's command. In closing, he requests that his cousin and his wife return his letter and excuses his bad handwriting because the letter has been written on paper that rested on his knees.
