Letter with envelope from Evelyn Scott to Bob Evans, 1949 February 22
This collection contains two letters to Bob Evans concerning Evelyn Scott. The first, a letter from 1946, is a short note from Elizabeth Ames of Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., stating she does not know the whereabouts of Evelyn Scott. The second is a letter from Evelyn Scott written in 1949. It is a response to a letter sent by Bob Evans. She discusses the effects of war on finding paper and American novels. Scott also mentions her dissatisfaction with Scribner's for rejecting her book.
