Letter from Obrgfr. [Obergefrieter] Heini Ackermann, a prisoner at Camp Forrest, Tennessee, to his wife, Melitta Ackermann, in Germany, 1943 November 9

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1

9 November 1943

My beloved wife,

The best greetings from the far away, from your loving husband. My health is still well, which I also hope for you; for your parents, Robert and Rudolf I hope the same. I hope that it further remains so and we can ourselves soon, healthy, in our beautiful homeland, reunite. My love wife, have you already sent the pictures I desire-a picture of us both and a family picture where you are all together-please fulfill this wish. My friend Fuhr is with me again, he has already received letters often from his wife. As I also see in his lines, you were already together with his wife, believe me, beloved wife, it gives us both joy that you have mutual communication. My loving wife, I must stop for today and wish you all a joyful Christmas holiday, I hope next Christmas we can again be together. For today, greetings and kisses with love, your loving husband. Greetings to all.
