The Morristown, Tenn., Collection, 1840-1955 (bulk 1910-1955), contains 19 items in three series. It is a random assortment of receipts, checks, photographs, letters, and other documents, dealing with Morristown, Tenn. All but one of the dated documents are from the 20th century.

Series I. Receipts, Checks, and Bank Statements, 1910-1925, contains eight documents. Four checks and bank statements of Mrs. Mattie A. Forkner for the Morristown Bank & Trust Co. date to 1910, and four receipts from Frank W. Taylor for the Tate Springs Hotel date to 1925.

Series II. Photographs, 1905, is an assortment of photographs and picture postcards. Two of the six items concerns the Kingmyer Hotel - one a postcard of the hotel, the other said to be of the owner. The other four are of various men and women. Only one - of a woman dressed as a man - is dated to 1905; the rest are undated.

Series III. Other documents, 1840-1955, includes two letters, an invitation, a program for a performance of The Case of Jennie Brice, and a blank piece of stationery for the Morristown Centennial Celebration in 1955 with drawings of Davy Crockett. One letter is from 1840, another from 1941, the program from 1912, and the invitational postcard from 1937.
