This collection contains 45 items, 43 of which are articles written by Carson Brewer for the Knoxville News-Sentinel from 1959 to 1992. Most of the articles contain interesting local stories about history and people's experiences or activities. Some of the people mentioned more than once are: Mayor Dempster (2), the Dockerys (2), Lem Ownby (3), Ivan Racheff's gardens (4), Chief R. S. Reynolds (5), and Bob Barker (7). One item is a 1978 letter with an attached article on Granville Calhoun, from Pauline Kindley to Brewer. Another item is the advertisement for Brewer's wife Alberta, playing at a dulcimer concert in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
