This collection contains a letter from Aaron V. Brown to Peter Vroom, August 24, 1842, written while Brown was serving his second term in the House of Representatives. He writes of pending legislation, prospective Democratic candidates in various areas, and active political figures of his time. He finishes his letter with the declaration... that "the election news is as you have seen very favorable & I doubt not Tennessee is now securely Democratic for the future."
