Growing Up in Hitler's Shadow Part II: Chapters 28 -- 33, 1936-1945, undated
This collection contains writings by Hilde Hoffman, largely regarding her experiences during World War II. The bulk is made up of the typed manuscript, approximately 665 pages, for Hoffman's "Growing Up in Hitler's Shadow" which tells the story of a young girl born and raised in Germany during Hitler's regime. Medi, the main character, was a Jew, and her story describes the hardships and fear of living in Nazi Germany. Also included are smaller pieces by Hoffman entitled "American Impressions"; "The Exhibit of Degenerative Art"; and "The Mighty Ship Filled Another City's Sky But The Ground Was Contaminated."
