1956 edition of James Agee's A Death in the Family, with notations, undated

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 6
From the Collection:

This collection consists of Professor Ben McClary's collection of James Agee material. The collection includes books by and about Agee, newspaper and magazine articles, as well as original research and articles by McClary. Also included are memorial articles and correspondence about Father James Harold Flye.

A number of books were removed from the collection, as they duplicate materials found in the Rare Books Collection. Only one -- McClary's copy of A Death in the Family -- was retained, as it includes McClary's handwritten notes (Folder 6). Following is a list of books that were removed:

Bergreen, Laurence. James Agee: A Life. New York: E. P Dutton, 1984. UTK Hoskins Library Rare Book all number: PS 3501. G35 z59 1984.
