Historical Miscellany Obtained from UT Library Special Collections, undated [originals from 1800s-1900s]
This collection contains the notes, photographs, and books of Betsey Beeler Creekmore, for her publications and research. It is divided into four series: I. Photographs, 1930s, 1960s-1980s; II. Great Smoky Mountains, 1967-1990; III. Knoxville, 1967, 1979-1984, 1990-1991; and IV Oversize, 1983. Series I, and most of the collection, are in original division and have the original folder titles. The photographs include copies of old drawings and photos from the 19th and 20th centuries, and a few folders in this series also have written information. Series II has notes, publications, and drafts about the trails and flora of the Smoky Mountains. Series III has mainly drafts and notes of Creekmore's book Knoxville!, published in 1991 for the Knoxville Bicentennial Celebration. There are a few copies of her books about the city, as well as some others' publications about it. Series IV has a book jacket and two newspapers.
