Letters, 1945 April 4-1945 July 27
This collection consists of a series of letters, written by Don J. Rutledge between October 30, 1941, and October 26, 1945, from the Panama Canal, Europe, the Philippines, and Japan during World War II. They include a letter written two days after the Pearl Harbor attack and one written three days after the German army surrendered. Most of the correspondence is to Rutledge's wife, Louisa, in Fayetteville, Tenn.
