Dr sir, --Your favor of May 2nd was rec’d Saturday, But one public school is in operation in the County, that has been reported—Viz. Mr. Hamilton in the 25th district. I visited it, and found the school doing well. The commissioners, according to the latest report for the various districts in the county are as follows,

I shall be in Lebanon the 1st Monday in June, at which time I should be glad to see you. Can parts of these Districts cornering together by petition of to the County Court, be organized into a separate School District with their own School Directors. I shall be happy to render any assistance in my power. How about our Institute. My school though small is doing well, Very truly yours
