Three-fold pocket surgical kit, circa 1860s
Manufactured by the Dietrich W. Kolbe Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the Union Army throughout the Civil War. The brown leather folding kit contains two catheters, one spatula, one hernia knife, two folding gum lancets, and one small folding knife. Other contents appear to be missing.
