Southern Excursions Collection
This collection contains a series of proofs, as well as correspondence regarding the publishing/printing process, of Southern Excursions. Edited by George Core and published in 1997 by The Fellowship of Southern Writers, Southern Excursions is a collection of short stories by seven different authors. The collection houses setting copies of the works and multiple galleys and/or printer's proofs of each story.

Biographical/Historical Note
Scholar and author George Core (1939-2023) was the long-time editor of the oldest literary quarterly in the U.S., The Sewanee Review.
This volume featured the following authors: Fred Chappell, George Garrett, Madison Jones, Mary Lee Settle, Lee Smith, Elizabeth Spencer, and Walter Sullivan.
