Biographical/Historical Note

Leonard Herman Brickey was born September 16, 1896 in Knox County, Tenn. to John Brewer Jackson Brickey (1845-1905) and Laura Emaline Arnwine Kitts Brickey (1860-1952). Brickey worked throughout his lifetime with the Knox County School System as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. Brickey-McCloud School was named in his honor. Brickey married Trula Agnes Hill in 1941. He died January 20, 1952 in Knox County.

Arrangement

Collection consists of a single folder divided into two series; Series I: List of Knox County Teachers and Custodians and Series II: Business Papers and Letters Concerning Knox County School Affairs.
