Biographical/Historical Note
George Herbert Clarke (1873-1953) was a Canadian-born writer and professor of English. From 1904 through 1911, he taught at Vanderbilt. He then transferred to the University of Tennessee until about 1919. He is the editor and writer of several poetic anthologies.
