This collection contains a warrant for the summons of David Forrester, signed August 15, 1789, by Frances A. Ramsey.
Biographical/Historical Note
Frances A. Ramsey, born in 1764, was the father of J. G. M. Ramsey. He served as the Clerk of Washington County and as one of the first trustees of Blount College (later the University of Tennessee). He was among the signers of the Tennessee Constitution in 1796. He died in 1820.
