Biographical/Historical Note

William Gannaway Brownlow, III, son of John F. Brownlow, was born October 9, 1918, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended Knoxville High School and in 1941 graduated as a finance major from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Business Administration. He married Mary Nell Greer (1922-2006). Brownlow died at the age of 39 on December 11th, 1957.
