Biographical/Historical Note
This program was produced by Alan Hall in 1995 and awarded the 1997 Prix Italia Music prize. It is a mix by Marvin Ware of Samuel Barber's oratorio "Knoxville: Summer of 1915", based on James Agee's Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and other writings.
