The Lewis Dolino Tax Record, 1841, is a single sheet printed tax form for recording and calculating county, school, and road tax in Mobile, Alabama. Dolino's land was valued at $21,500 resulting in a real estate tax of $10.75. The tax form allows calculation for taxation on enslaved children under ten years of age, enslaved people between ten and sixty years of age, poll tax, pleasure carriage, horses, gold watch, metal clock, and wood clock. The form also includes a county tax of $10.75, and a school tax (equal to one quarter of the county tax) of $2.68. The form shows a payment received date of October 8, 1841 and is signed by a Huggins and John Pollard.
