Charles and Grace Bost Letters
This collection includes WWII-era correspondence between Charles and Grace Bost as well as letters from friends of the family, especially other servicemen from the Springfield area. Also included in the collection are cards sent to the Bosts congratulating them on the birth of their daughter, Connie. Many of the letters between Charles and Grace have acronyms inscribed inside the envelopes.

Abstract

Biographical/Historical Note
The Bosts lived in Springfield, Ohio during World War II. Charles entered the service in July of 1942. He entered as an enlisted man and rose to the rank of lieutentant. They had a daughter, Connie, born during the war.
