Howard Hopkins Letter
This Civil War letter -- dated January 17, 2006 -- is written by Howard Hopkins of the 3rd Regiment Michigan Calvary. The letter is to his cousin Abbie Watson Clyde of Wayne County, New York. In the letter Howard reminiscences about his mother and home. At the time the letter is written, Hopkins is camped at Lagrange, Tenn. The letter is postmarked from Memphis, Tenn.
